Rinku Singh from the Kolkata Knight Riders really wanted to get his hands on a bat from Rohit Sharma. Unfortunately for him, his teammate Angkrish Raghuvanshi was the one who ended up with it.
After KKR played against the Mumbai Indians, Rinku was seen in the MI dressing room at Wankhede Stadium. In a video shared by MI, Rinku stood next to Rohit, who was checking his bats. MI’s Tilak Varma jokingly teased Rinku for asking Rohit for a bat, saying something along the lines of Look, he has a great bat himself and is still asking Rohit bhaiya for one. Even Hardik Pandya joined in on the fun, making everyone laugh. In the end, Raghuvanshi had a big smile on his face after getting a bat from Rohit.
KKR’s captain, Ajinkya Rahane, talked about possibly moving Rinku up the batting order. He mentioned that Rinku has been doing great for both KKR and the Indian team in shorter formats. Rahane said it’s a topic of discussion, but sometimes they have to make choices based on the match situation. He also promised that fans will see more of Rinku batting higher up in future games.
As for KKR, they’ve lost two out of their first three matches in IPL 2025 and will face SunRisers Hyderabad on April 3. Historically, KKR has done well against SRH, winning 19 out of their 28 meetings.
