The star leg-spinner of Afghanistan, Rashid Khan had an encounter with the well-known Bollywood couple, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, while they were all in New York. This meeting took place shortly after Rashid’s participation in the Asia Cup 2023, where his team faced an early exit during the initial week of September.
Rashid talked about this on his official Instagram account and shared a photo with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to the fans. While sharing the photo, he captioned it as the biggest star of Bollywood.
“With Bollywood’s biggest ⭐️🤩 It was lovely to meet you #RANBIR @aliaabhatt,” he wrote.
Rashid Khan’s performance with the ball in the Asia Cup 2023 was not that good. In the first match against Bangladesh, he failed to get any wickets, and in the next game against Sri Lanka, he managed to take two wickets. However, he also conceded 66 and 63 runs in his respective 10-over spells in those matches. Now, Rashid will look to perform for his team in the upcoming ODI World Cup happening in India.
Afghanistan will begin its World Cup campaign against Bangladesh on October 7 in Dharamsala. After that, they will face India on October 11 in Delhi.
