The T20I and ODI teams for the next series against Sri Lanka, which will start on January 3, have been released by the BCCI. There are some well-known players in the teams, but some unexpected players, including Shikhar Dhawan and Sanju Samson from the ODI squad, have been left off. There are several players, though, who are not on either squad and have been regularly benched for the past few series. Swashbuckling opener Prithvi Shaw is one of the most well-known of these figures.
After receiving yet another rejection from the national team, the Mumbai opener posted two strange videos to his Instagram accounts.
In the first video, there was a line that said, “Kisi ne must me paa Liya who shaqs, jisko Mujhe har keemat par chahiye tha (The person that I wanted to be with, is now with someone else for free).”
Prithvi Shaw shared a video of guru and motivational speaker Gaur Gopal Das in his second Instagram story, who said the following words, “If someone is smiling it doesn’t mean they are happy in their life. Happiness is never automatic, Problems are automatic. One chooses Positivity, love, and Happiness. Anger, hate, and Negativity.”

Hardik Pandya will serve as the team’s captain in the T20I squad in place of the injured Rohit Sharma. Rohit will lead the team in ODI matches once more. Even though KL Rahul will be playing in the ODIs, Pandya will take over as the new vice-captain. Suryakumar Yadav will replace Hardik in the T20I series. While Shikhar Dhawan continues to be the most notable player missing from the 50-over side, Rishabh Pant has been on rest the whole tour.
