During a recent game in a franchise-based league, a fan targeted Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf. Rauf was standing near the boundary line when the fan reminded him of Virat Kohli’s famous six off his bowling in the T20 World Cup in 2022. If you didn’t know, Kohli hit Rauf for two sixes in a row during India’s exciting chase against Pakistan. One of those sixes went straight onto the sightscreen after Kohli casually stepped aside and hit Rauf’s short-pitched ball down the field.
Kohli’s iconic shot received a lot of praise from fans and experts, especially because the star batter helped India achieve an unlikely victory.
Since that time, people have frequently asked Rauf about Kohli’s famous six that came off his delivery, and the Pakistan bowler has been complimented for the former India captain’s achievement.
But, some fans were not kind to him during a game. Rauf is now playing for the Welsh Fire in the current season of the Hundred.
“Haris bhai, do you still remember Melbourne? Virat’s two sixes,” a fan questioned Rauf.
Rauf dealt with the troll in a relaxed manner, mentioning that he still recalls the two sixes.
“Ji yaad hai, abhi bhi yaad hai (Yes, I remember. I still remember),” Rauf replied.
Rauf became a topic of discussion recently when a video of him rushing toward a fan who was trolling him went viral on Wednesday. In the video, Rauf and his wife are seen walking along a path when a group of people said something to them. Some of those people were wearing Pakistan jerseys.
Following Pakistan’s elimination in the group stage of the 2024 T20 World Cup, a fan was filmed arguing with Haris Rauf, reportedly hurling insults at the player’s family.
