Watch- Deepak Chahar almost ‘Mankaded’ Tristan Stubbs during the third T20I against South Africa, video goes viral

During the third T20I of the series against South Africa, India’s ace pacer Deepak Chahar nearly ran Tristan Stubbs out at the non-end striker’s in the 16th over, sending the entire stadium into a frenzy. Stubbs had not been paying attention to the bowler and had backed up too soon. After pausing, Chahar decided against revoking the bond and instead issued a polite warning to Stubbs. He finished it off with a sly grin, and Stubbs was also smiling.
Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, too smirked grimly in response to the incident.

One of the Twitter users uploaded the video. Watch here: https://twitter.com/NarasimhaRN5/status/1577312086220234753?t=plV6uw700TSqCuZ9fqwikg&s=19

In the third ODI of the series at Lord’s last month, India women’s spinner Deepti Sharma chose to run Charlotte Dean out at the non-end, the striker grabbing the attention of the cricket community all over the world. Despite this, she did not warn the batter before dismissing her because it is not required by cricket regulations.
India won the match by 16 runs to complete a 3-0 series sweep, and Dean’s wickets were the last to fall for England in the run-chase.

The Marylebone Cricket Club earlier this year moved the dismissal, which is more widely and colloquially referred to as the “Mankad,” from the “Unfair Play” area to the “Run out” section, and the International Cricket Council (ICC) likewise acknowledged the dismissal as fair.

Even though Deepti’s decision to remove Dean at the non-end striker’s was legal, many former and current English cricket players criticized her decision. Ravichandran Ashwin, India’s best off-spinner, who has consistently supported Deepti’s removal, as well as many Indian fans, came out in support of her.
