A bizarre incident happened during the second innings when a little child came onto the pitch and tried to hug India captain Rohit Sharma before being forcefully dragged away by a security guard. The security guard’s actions also drove him to bump into Rohit, who was shocked by them. Seeing the treatment by the guard, Rohit Sharma asked the security guard to handle the little fan gently. The incident occurred during the 4th delivery of the 10th over of the Indian innings.

Chasing the target of 108 runs, India won the match by 8 wickets in 20.2 overs at the loss of two wickets. Captain Rohit Sharma scored the highest 51 runs for the team with the help of 7 fours and two sixes. While the in-form opener Shubman Gill also got 40 runs and took India home with Ishan Kisan(8*).

With this win in Raipur, India have sealed this three-match ODI series with one match more to go at Holkar Stadium, Indore.
