Watch: Australia names this Indian player who sledges the most and it’s not Virat Kohli

Cricketers from the Australian team voted on who is the most sledging player in India but surprisingly it was not Virat Kohli who topped the list. Several incidents have taken place during the matches between the countries where some aggressive confrontations have taken place. In a clip shared by Star Sports on their social media platform, Obtaining consistency across different countries or team members is always a challenge. The Australian players Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood, Nathan Lyon, Pat Cummins, Osman Khawaja, Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne gave only one name who has done the maximum sledging on themselves and that was Rishab Pant from the Indian side.

In the same clip released, Pant turned back the clock to remind everyone that during the series played in 2018, she had sledged Australian captain Tim Paine which made him quite popular even Down Under, admitting that one Prime Minister during those years called him after Tim Paine’s sledging.

‘No one thinks and goes about it like that. If I dislike it, I will do it, but nicely. They were making comments of that sort like – “Big MS is here”, “Come down to Hobart for T20, let me rent you a nice place, and I will bring the kids for you to look after”. I also had some retorts,” Pant Screamed out.

Another development sees Jasprit Bumrah, India’s premier Test bowler, reclaiming the ICC Test bowling rankings following his match winnings of six wickets in the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur.

With this latest development, the 30-year-old replaced his team mate in the Indian team Ravichandran Ashwin who was the Player of the Series against Bangladesh at the very peak of the table.

Ravindra Jadeja the spinner maintained his place in the sixth rank while spinner Kuldeep Yadav ranked 16th keeping his place intact.

In batting, Yashasvi Jaiswal who was named the Player of the Match in the Kanpur Test climbed to a career-best third after just his 11th Test. He scored brilliant innings of 72 and 51 to help India win the rain-interrupted match by seven wickets.

The 22-year-old has 792 rating points and sits behind 2nd placed Kane Williamson (829) and Joe Root (899).

Furthermore, India’s iconic batsman Virat Kohli, makes a comeback into top 10, climbing up six places to take the sixth position after scoring 47 and 29 in Kanpur.

Rishabh Pant too stayed in the top ten but dropped three positions to ninth while captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill were positioned 15th and 16th respectively.
