WATCH:’ Aap se jyada gend khel gaya ye’ Ishan Kishan Trolls Rahane, Caught In Stumps Mic

It sounds like India had a fantastic performance in the first Test against West Indies in Dominica. Yashasvi Jaiswal’s marathon innings on debut and Ravichandran Ashwin’s impressive 12-wicket match haul were the standout performances of the match. India secured a commanding lead in the first innings and then bowled out West Indies for 130 runs, winning the match by an innings and 141 runs.

Apart from the on-field action, the stump mic picked up some interesting conversations between the players. Ishan Kishan, the debutant, was heard giving instructions to Virat Kohli, offering suggestions to Rohit Sharma, and playfully warning Shubman Gill about the captain’s reaction. On the final day of the game, Kishan pulled Ajinkya Rahane’s leg, remarking that the West Indies tailender Jomel Warrican had played more balls than Rahane himself. This banter added an amusing element to the match.

The incident happened in the final session of the third day’s play when India needed one wicket to win but Jomel Warrican frustrated the visitors for quite a long time. The West Indies tailender showcased an unusual batting stance and played some unorthodox shots, scoring a run-a-ball 18 before falling prey to Ashwin.

Reacting to Warrican’s strokeplay, Ishan told Rahane that the opposition batter has played more balls than the Indian vice-captain.

Aap se zyada ball khel gaya yeh, Ajju bhai (He has now played more balls than you),” Kishan said while taking his position.

As the second Test approaches in Port of Spain, India will be aiming to maintain their momentum and secure another victory, while West Indies will be looking to improve their performance and level the series.
