Watch: 20-Year-old Shoaib Bashir Traps Rohit Sharma, Returns Pavilion On 14

Star Indian batter and skipper of team India, Rohit Sharma has once again flopped in his batting. In the second ongoing Test at Vizag, Sharma could only manage to get 14 runs facing 41 balls and India lost its first wicket at the score of 40.

It was debutant Shoaib Bashir who weaved the trap for the Indian skipper and he was caught by Ollie Pope on the third ball of the 18th over. Bashir delivered a full ball right outside the off-stump, pitching and swerving inward. Rohit attempted a flick, but the crafty turn outfoxed him, resulting in the ball kissing the inner edge of the bat. It soared towards leg slip, where Ollie Pope showcased his brilliance with a remarkable catch.

Bashir, at the age of 20, has claimed his first wicket in his international career. He got the opportunity in this match in place of Jack Leach, who is sidelined due to a knee injury. Bashir was initially unavailable for selection in the first Test match due to visa-related issues.

India is also playing with three changes. KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja are out due to their respective injuries, and pacer Mohammed Siraj has been rested. During the toss, the Indian skipper said that Kuldeep Yadav has joined the squad in place of Ravindra Jadeja, Mukesh Kumar has replaced Siraj and Rajat Patidar is making his debut as KL Rahul misses out.
