Wasim Akram rips off the Pakistan cricket team after their final match against Bangladesh gets washed out

Pakistan and Bangladesh’s last day in the Champions Trophy 2025 was representative of their campaigns so far, absolutely no effect. Their final game, played among themselves, was abandoned in Rawalpindi on Thursday without even a coin flip. Pakistan would probably come last in the Champions Trophy 2025 with that outcome. Worst of all eight competing teams in the Champions Trophy 2025, their run-rate is -1.087. Before this match, Pakistan and Bangladesh had already dropped off the quarter-final race of the Champions Trophy 2025 after losing their first two games.

Wasim Akram was asked if it was a pride competition before the game started.

“Which pride? I told you don’t ask me this question. When you are thinking of eligibility, you are playing for pride. After this game, Bangladesh and Pakistan will both go home. Akram answered on an email program with, let’s only play and go home.”

Pakistan’s defending champions with worst-ever performance came from only one point in three games and a run rate of -1.084. The Mohammad Rizwan and company. surpassed Australia to set the unwanted record. Australia, defending champions, came to an end the 2013 version with one point and net run rate of -0.680.Pakistan also nailed the 2025 edition with one point, but their net run rate was -1.087.

The Champions Trophy Thursday contest between hosts Pakistan and Bangladesh was called off without a ball being thrown because of constant rain. Conduct an ICC competition for the first time in 29 years, Pakistan therefore concluded their poor run without a win. Also from Bangladesh, the team returned home to consider several points having finished their tour without a victory.

Both teams will agree on one point.

Pakistan has been slammed for their lackluster performance in the tournament, including a six-wicket loss to India in Dubai.

The first time a match has been called off without a ball being bown in Rawalpindi was the washout between South Africa and Australia earlier this week. This is the second.
