‘Bounce Will Create Hurdle For Them’, Wasim Akram Predicts The Winner Of The WTC Final

India and Australia will face each other in the mega clash of the ICC World Test Championship from June 7 at the Oval. Before this clash many former cricketers are giving their opinion on both the teams. Meanwhile, the former Pakistan bowling legend Wasim Akram has picked his favorite to win the WTC Final.

Akram said that Australia has an edge over India and the pitch will support the pacers which will provide trouble to Indian batters. He also opines that the surfaces will provide much bounce to Aussie bowlers and Indian batters should be alert with those monsters.

The ‘Swing King’ also said that the Duke Ball swings more than the Kookaburra one and it will create more problems for the batters. In places like England and Australia, Indian batters have always faced difficulty in playing the pace bowlers.

During an ICC event Akram said, “In Oval, you play a Test match either in the last week of August or during the first or second week of September when the pitch is bone dry. But this time it’s a fresh pitch and it’s early June. There will be a lot more bounce. The Dukes swing a lot more and for a longer time and stay a lot harder than Kookaburra. I think Australia will be a slight favorite.”

The Indian team is facing difficulty as many players of men in blue are suffering from injuries. However, the current team is a mixture of young and experienced players and they will look to win the first-ever ICC title since 2011.
