Virat Kohli To Miss One T20 World Cup Game For India, Here Is The Full Update

Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, huge news is coming regarding the star batter of Indian team cricket. According to reports, Kohli might miss the warm-up game against Bangladesh on June 1 because he is taking a short break after the IPL.

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson and Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya will also depart later than initially planned. The first batch of Indian team players left on Saturday, while the second group is set to depart on Monday.

In the 17th edition of IPL 2024, Kohli holds the Orange Cap with 741 runs, including a century and five fifties. He has played in all 15 RCB games, including the Eliminator, which they lost to the Rajasthan Royals. Samson has told the BCCI that he is delaying his departure due to personal matters in Dubai.

While talking to Indian Express, a BCCI official said, “Kohli had informed us way beforehand that he would be joining the team late and that is why the BCCI has kept his visa appointment for a later date. He is expected to fly out to New York in the early morning of May 30th. The BCCI has agreed to his request.”

Rohit Sharma and company will start their T20 World Cup campaign against Ireland on June 5. Then they will face their arch-rivals Pakistan on June 9, and then games against the United States and Canada.
