Kohli aims the domestic season for his 2027 World Cup practice

Virat Kohli has already victoriously shown his class in the home ODI series against South Africa. Even though he recorded two successive ducks in the Australia tour, he struck back on the road very well with a smashing fifty in the dead-rubber at Sydney, thus, helping India to escape an embarrassing whitewash.

Then he presented a phenomenal series against South Africa, being at the forefront of the Indian batting line-up.

Even though he was the one who delivered the highest runs; out of 302 scored in three innings, 151 was the average with a strike rate of 117.05, the BCCI is believed to have asked him to be part of the domestic circuit in order to stay match-ready while being in the pool of players for the 2027 World Cup.

When it comes to Virat Kohli’s Vijay Hazare Trophy career, he has been a part of twelve matches in two seasons. He had great batting stats with an awesome average of 69.36 but still, Kohli could not help Delhi win the title during those two seasons.
