Virat Kohli peeps MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina in these two major IPL Records

Team India and RCB’s star batter, Virat Kohli, continued his sublime form with the bat. Virat Kohli scored another half-century. Virat Kohli hit three sixes to reach his half century and surpass Ms. Dhoni in a major IPL record.

Virat Kohli now has 240 sixes in 241 IPL matches, surpassing Ms. Dhoni. Virat Kohli is now trailing only Chris Gayle, Rohit Sharma, and Ab Devilliers.

Most sixes in IPL history:

Chris Gayle: 357 sixes in 142 matches

Rohit Sharma: 261 sixes in 245 matches

AB de Villiers: 251 sixes in 184 matches

Virat Kohli: 241* sixes in 240 matches

MS Dhoni: 239 sixes in 252 matches

Virat Kohli also became the batter to hit most sixes for RCB, surpassing Chris Gayle and Ab Devilliers. Ab Devilliers had hit 238 sixes, while Chris Gayle recorded 239 sixes for RCB.

Virat Kohli made another record when he took a catch to dismiss Venkatesh Iyer. Virat Kohli equaled Suresh Raina’s record for most catches in IPL history. Suresh Raina had taken 109  catches in the IPL.
