Virat Kohli Ms Dhoni to be part of this noble cause

Indian cricket stars like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Rahul Dravid, along with others, have joined forces to contribute to a charity auction that supports the Vipla Foundation. This foundation works to help underprivileged communities in India. The auction was set up by Indian cricketer KL Rahul and his wife, Athiya Shetty, under the name ‘Cricket for a Cause: To Benefit the Vipla Foundation’. Various important cricket items are being sold in this auction, and the money raised will directly help the Vipla Foundation.

Among the interesting items up for auction are a signed cricket bat from the 2024 IPL by MS Dhoni, signed cricket bats from the 2023 World Cup by Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, and a signed Indian cricket team jersey by Virat Kohli from the 2019 World Cup. The starting prices for these items range from Rs 50,000 to Rs 3,50,000.

The Vipla Foundation has been working hard to support women and children for 36 years, and they have even created a special school for those who are deaf and have intellectual disabilities. The school has advanced features like smart classrooms, speech therapy rooms, and play areas. The auction is planned to improve these facilities to help children from less fortunate backgrounds.

“This isn’t just an auction; it’s a chance for all of us to join forces and create a positive change. It’s really nice to see famous cricket players unite for such a good cause. Each item has a story of dedication, effort, and success,” said Mana Shetty, a leader of the Vipla Foundation.

A total of 27 items will be auctioned. These include a signed bat by Rahul Dravid from India’s 2011 tour of England, signed jerseys from R Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah, signed Rajasthan Royals jerseys from Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, and Yuzvendra Chahal, a signed Chennai Super Kings jersey by Ravindra Jadeja, and signed bats by Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, and Marcus Stoinis, among others.
