‘Virat Kohli Missing This Test Series Is Shame’, This England Superstar Cricketer Harsh Comment On Indian Batter

Legendary pacer of the England Cricket Team, James Anderson has expressed disappointment over Virat Kohli’s absence from the ongoing Test series between India and England. He said that it is a ‘shame’ that the star cricketer is not part of the squad.

On the field, James Anderson and Virat Kohli have developed a notable rivalry, with the England pacer dismissing the star batter 10 times. Concurrently, Kohli has managed to score 331 runs against Anderson, making their on-field encounters quite a captivating aspect of their cricketing history.

Virat Kohli opted out of the series citing personal reasons, as he and Anushka Sharma welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Akaay, last month.

While having a conversation with Jio Cinema, Anderson said that he was looking forward to playing against Virat Kohli but he is not here.

“Yeah, you always want to play against the best players. And it’s been a shame that he’s not been a part of the series. We have had some great battles over the years. But not just for me, I think as a team you want to play against the best in the world and he certainly is that” Anderson said on JioCinema.

James Anderson added that while England fans might have been pleased not to see Kohli in action, he wanted the Indian batter to be part of the series. He acknowledged that Kohli has been a player he found challenging to bowl at throughout the years.

“I guess English fans will be thankful he’s not playing because he’s such a quality player. But from our point of view you want to test yourself, you want to come up against the best and he’s been someone who I’ve found really challenging to bowl at over the years and it’s a shame he’s not been playing,” Anderson added.
