Virat Kohli drops a special praise for Rajat Patidar ahead of the upcoming IPL season

Virat Kohli, the big name in India, is rooting for Rajat Patidar, the new captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, hoping he’ll be the leader for years to come. Kohli has been with RCB since the IPL began in 2008. He was the captain for over 10 years and is still closely associated with the team. Patidar is now captain since Faf du Plessis went to Delhi Capitals this season. This guy will probably lead you for a while. I think he’ll do great. He has what it takes, Kohli told RCB fans at the team’s event on Monday.

Even though RCB has never won the IPL, Kohli is still optimistic.

It’s great to be back. I’m just as excited as any other season. I’ve been with RCB for 18 years and I love it. We’ve got a good team this time, with a lot of talent. I’m personally excited for this season, Kohli said.

This is Kohli’s first IPL since he stopped playing T20 Internationals.

Patidar, who was with Kohli, said it was an honor to be the captain of RCB.

Guys like Virat, Ab de Villiers, and Chris Gayle have played for RCB. I watched them when I was growing up. I’ve always liked this team. I’m happy to be leading one of the biggest teams, said Patidar, who has also played for India.
