Vinod Kambli, the one-time Indian cricket team star, has been admitted to hospital after his health badly deteriorated over the weekend. Recently, a video of Kambli went viral; this video sparked speculation regarding his health issues.

There is a tremendous amount of talk and writing on health issues for weeks about former India cricketer Vinod Kambli. Recently, he was at a function honoring the late Ramakant Achrekar, who taught Kambli and Sachin Tendulkar at Shivaji Park, Mumbai. Some who caught the episode published a few videos online that showed Kambli struggling to speak. But later Kambli said a little something about his health struggles. The 52-year-old said he was feeling better but had a bit of scare health-wise about a month back.

Kambli disclosed the fact that he had indeed been suffering from a urine infection; however, his wife and kids stood like a rock with him and helped him get back to his feet. In addition, he said that former Indian all-rounder Ajay Jadeja would come to see him.

According to Kambli’s words to Vickey Lalwani on his YouTube channel, “I am better now. My wife takes care of me a lot. She went to 3 different hospitals and said, ‘you have to fit in. ‘ Ajay Jadeja too came to visit me; it was nice. I had a urine problem. Flows on its own. My son, Jesus Cristiano, just picked me up and put me on my feet. My 10-year-old daughter and wife came to assist me. This was about a month back. Got dizzy and then fell. The doctor said admissions are required.”
