Vijay Mallya Wished Good Luck To Royal Challengers Bengaluru For IPL Playoffs, Praises Virat Kohli

Former RCB owner Vijay Mallya recently wished his ex-team good luck on Twitter. On the day of RCB’s IPL Eliminator against RR, Mallya said he had a feeling that RCB might win the title this season. The former owner also said that when RCB bid for Virat Kohli in the first season’s player draft, he knew it was the right decision.

RCB is on a fairytale run in the Indian Premier League, making it to the playoffs after winning six matches in a row. They seemed out of the race initially, having lost seven of their first eight games, but have since made an amazing comeback.

“When I bid for the RCB franchise and I bid for Virat, my inner instinct told me that I could not have made better choices. My inner instinct tells me that RCB has the best chance to go for the IPL Trophy. Onward and Upward. Best of luck.”

Vijay Mallya, once known as the “King of Good Times,” represents both the pinnacle of corporate success and the depths of financial scandal.

In 2005, he launched Kingfisher Airlines, which initially gained much attention for its luxury but ended up being a financial disaster. The airline accumulated massive debts and eventually collapsed in 2012.
