Video: Suryakumar’s Adorable Response To Kohli’s Instagram Story Goes viral, Watch Here

The third and final T20I of the series against Sri Lanka saw a remarkable performance by Suryakumar Yadav, who smashed an unbeaten 112 off just 51 deliveries. India defeated Sri Lanka by 91 runs on Saturday to win the three-match series 2-1. In his explosive knock, the batsman smashed seven fours and nine sixes. Suryakumar’s outstanding performance allowed India to post a massive score of 228/5 in 20 overs, while Sri Lanka could only manage 137.

After Suryakumar’s lightning-quick innings, he was praised by both cricketers and spectators. The batter’s partner and legendary Indian batsman Virat Kohli also wrote a celebratory Instagram message for Suryakumar.

Suryakumar’s response to Kohli’s narrative was released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday, along with what the centurion said to the 34-year-old. As he included a photo of Suryakumar Yadav from his century knock, Kohli posted two fire and two applauding emojis. In response to the story, Yadav grinned and said, “Oh baba, look who has posted a story!”

Suryakumar replied, “Bhau, bohot Saara Pyaar. See you soon (Brother, lots of love. See you soon!)”

Earlier, Indian captain Hardik Pandya praised Suryakumar Yadav for his spectacular performance and said that the contest was Suryakumar vs Sri Lanka following his team’s 91-run victory over Sri Lanka in the third T20I.

Pandya in a Press conference said, “Today, it felt like Sri Lanka vs Surya (Suryakumar). That is why Suryakumar is such an important player for us in white-ball cricket. The way he changes the game, and the shots he plays, just break the morale of the bowler. It helps the other batters as well.”

On January 10, Team India will resume play when it takes on Sri Lanka in the first of three One-Day Internationals (ODIs). Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli will all be back in the Indian lineup for this series.
