VIDEO: Rinku Singh’s Father Seen Delivering LPG Cylinders To Customers

Father of the star Indian youngster Rinku Singh remains employed with an LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) distribution company in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, despite the cricketer making big headlines after his inclusion in the national team.

A video circulating on social media has gained attention, showcasing Rinku’s father, Khanchandra Singh, involved in the distribution of LPG cylinders. Despite his son’s promising cricket career and inclusion in the national team, Rinku’s family has faced numerous challenges along the way.

The left-handed batsman has emerged as one of the most inspiring success stories in Indian cricket, considering his modest background.

Rinku Singh delivered some outstanding performances for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He emerged as the highest run-scorer for his team, amassing 474 runs from 14 outings.

Having made his T20I debut for India in August of the previous year, Rinku Singh has displayed impressive performances. He got 356 runs from 11 innings at a notable strike rate of 176.24, the 26-year-old has firmly established his credentials, making a compelling case for inclusion in the squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

In anticipation of his debut for Team India last year, Rinku Singh revealed that he had urged his father to resign from his job as a distributor of LPG cylinders.

“I told Papa that you can relax now. But he is still hawking cylinders. He still loves that job. At one level, I understand his part also. If he starts relaxing at home, he will get bored instantly. If someone has worked all his life, it is difficult to tell him to stop unless he wants.”
