VIDEO: R Jadeja Returns In Style, Sends Back Labuschagne With A Surprising Delivery

India is facing Australia in the 1st test of the four-match test series under the Border- Gavaskar trophy. This match saw the return of veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who is playing for India for almost 6 months.

In this match, Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first. However, Indian bowlers gave some early setbacks to the Australian team. Jadeja turned the match on its head in the post-lunch session by shattering the dangerous duo of Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith. The experienced India all-rounder sent back Matthew Renshaw for a golden duck.

It was the 36th over of the Australian inning when Jadeja sent back Labuschagne to the Pavillion. Labuschagne went to the pavilion one run short of his half-century.

The left-arm spinner tempted the right-hander to play the thunderous drive by forcing him back with a few quicker through-the-air deliveries before tossing one up more slowly. Labuschagne accidentally fell for the trap. He took a huge step towards the drive, but the ball went past his bat. His front foot dragged his back foot out of the crease. On his debut, wicketkeeper KS Bharat looked flawless behind the stumps. He quickly ripped the bails off after grabbing the ball cleanly.

Jadeja did not stop there. On the very next ball, he got Matt Renshaw. The left-handed batter tried to play a cover drive but he missed it and the ball hit the pad. The Australian batter was given out by the on-field umpire Nitin Menon.
