Vaibhav Suryavanshi hopeful of taking RR into the finals next season

Rajasthan Royals’ young star Vaibhav Suryavanshi is ready to step up his game for the next season of the Indian Premier League 2025. He made a huge impact this year, hitting a six on his very first ball and scoring a stunning century in just 35 balls, making him the fastest Indian to do so in the tournament’s history. By the end of the season, he had piled up 252 runs in seven innings, with an average of 36 and a strike rate of 206.55, including one century and one fifty. The 14-year-old even earned the title of ‘Super Striker of the Season’ for that impressive strike rate.

Looking back on his debut season, Suryavanshi is determined to do even better next time to help his team reach the finals. “I realized that whatever I did this season, I need to step it up for next year—not just a little, but really push myself. I want to help my team get to the finals next year,” he said in a video posted on the IPL website. He also mentioned that he’ll be working on his weaknesses and improving for the next season. Playing in the IPL is a dream come true for me, and I learned a lot this year. Next season, I’ll try to contribute even more. I picked up a lot of lessons, and I’ll focus on the areas where I can do better, he added.

In the meantime, Suryavanshi will be heading to England with the Indian Under-19 team from June 24 to July 23, 2025. The tour includes a 50-over warm-up game, a five-match Youth One-Day series, and two multi-day matches against England’s U19 team.
