Uthappa’s Prediction: Dhawan’s Potential for Big Runs in Mohali

Sunrisers Hyderabad are set to lock horns against Punjab kings in Mohali.
Sunrisers Hyderabad won their previous encounter against CSK. Sunrisers Hyderabad have done exceptionally well at home, but so far they have lost both of their matches away from home.

Punjab, on the other hand, are coming off a terrific win over the Gujarat Titans.

However, former Indian opener Robbin Uthappa has backed PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan to go big in Punjab’s clash against the Sunrisers. Shikhar Dhawan has so far scored only a solitary half century in four matches.

In his interaction with Jio Cenima, Robbin Uthappa said, “Shikhar Dhawan is due for a big score, and we seldom see him going through an IPL without scoring big scores. I am amped up to see him score well tomorrow and see him score big runs. He has set some really high standards for himself as an opening batter and has always been among the runs in the IPL. I am predicting a big score from Shikhar Dhawan.”

On being part of the same discussion panel, former England’s skipper Eoin Morgan has backed Sunrisers Hyderabad to win this match because of their batting firepower.

Speaking about the same, Eoin Morgan said, “‘I think more fireworks from Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Heinrich Klaasen; the names just roll off the tip of the tongue. It is not just on their own team that they are causing fireworks; they are actually creating a lot of chat around the tournament at the moment. Both sides are on 4 points, so there will be so many that will jump to 6 points, with a cluster of teams making early moves in the tournament that wouldn’t be believably exciting to watch. I am really enjoying the combination with Daniel Vettori, the new coach, and Pat Cummins, the new SunRisers captain.”
