Ravindra Jadeja and Urvil Patel from Chennai Super Kings are heading home after the IPL 2025 was put on hold for a week due to growing tensions between India and Pakistan. The BCCI made this call after the match in Dharamshala between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was interrupted because of air raid alerts in the area.
Urvil, who joined CSK as a replacement for the injured Vansh Bedi, shared a photo on his Instagram story with Jadeja, showing that they’re leaving the Chennai team. This season hasn’t been great for CSK, as they’ve been struggling and sit at the bottom of the table. Still, they managed to win against KKR in their last match before the suspension, where Urvil played an important role, scoring 31 runs off just 11 balls, while Jadeja contributed 19 runs and took one wicket.
So far in 12 matches, Jadeja has claimed 8 wickets and scored 279 runs. CSK has two games left against RR in Chennai and GT in Ahmedabad before their season wraps up. The BCCI announced that they’ll keep everyone updated on the new schedule and venues for the rest of the IPL soon.
