Unveiling the Untold: R Ashwin’s Autobiography Hits Shelves on June 10

The veteran spinner Ravi Ashwin is set to share his story with the world through a biography that will talk about various aspects of his life, including his childhood struggle with health issues and his international career success. Ashwin’s biography is titled “I Have the Streets: A Kutti Cricket Story” and is written by the veteran cricketer with author Sidharth Monga.

“I am pleased to share my story about the making of a cricketer. Through this book, I hope to inspire many aspiring cricketers,” said Ashwin in a statement.

Ashwin has been regarded as one of the biggest tacticians in the game and is one of the best spinners that the country has produced. Ashwin’s legacy further rises in test format as the veteran spinner holds the record for becoming the fastest player to reach 300 wickets. The off-spinner has also been a member of the 2011 World Cup-winning squad and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.

“I have enjoyed every minute of working on this book with Ashwin. The stories of how it all began, the unique experiences, and the techniques he uses all make their way into this narrative. We are both delighted that it’s being shared with everyone today,” Monga said at a press conference on June 3.

According to the publisher of the book, Penguin Random House India (PRHI), the book will go through the various aspects of Ashwin’s life both on and off the field.
