The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has picked Lahore as the lone venue for the Champions Trophy. Lahore has been selected as the lone venue for hosting India’s matches. Apart from that, the Pakistan cricket board has also submitted the tentative schedule of the trophy to the ICC.
If Team India travels to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025, they will play all their matches in Lahore. As per the reports, Lahore has been picked as the venue for India’s matches, as Lahore is close to the Indian border and fans from across the border could travel to the venue to watch the matches.
Team India and Pakistan play each other only in ICC events because of the hampering relations between the two countries. The bilateral series has been stopped for over a decade.
India did not travel to Pakistan last year for the Asia Cup, and Pakistan was made to agree on the hybrid model, and this may be the case again. The tournament will have seven top teams, along with Pakistan, as they are the official hosts of the tournament.
Eight teams will be divided into two groups, and the final two teams from both groups will play in the semifinals of the tournament. Pakistan are the defending champions and will host the tournament for the first time.
