Unveiled: Sri Lanka’s T20 World Cup 2024 Squad Featuring Surprise Addition

Sri Lanka’s cricket board has announced Sri Lanka’s World Cup squad for the upcoming T-20 World Cup. The board has also picked Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Mathews for the upcoming T20 World Cup, which is set to start from June 1 to June 29 in the USA and West Indies.

Angelo Mathews, who won the T-20 World Cup with the side in 2014, brings a wealth of experience.
Along with Matthews, the Sri Lankan squad also features former Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanka and Bhanuka Rajpaksha.

Meanwhile, young all-rounder Dunith Wellalge has also found a place in the set-up, along with Matheesha Pathirana, who is currently nursing a hamstring injury but is expected to recover on time.

The Sri Lankan squad also features Dilshan Madhushanka,Nuwan Tushara, and Dushmanta Chameera in the pace attack.

Reserves: Asitha Fernando, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and Janith Liyanage.
