Unleashing the Speed: Shabnim Ismail’s Record-breaking Delivery

South Africa’s pace bowler Shabnaim Ismail achieved a major milestone in women’s cricket as the pacer bowled the fastest delivery in WPL with a speed of 132.1 km/hr in the match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.

Well, this is the first time that the 130 mark has been crossed in women’s cricket. Bowling with a speed of 132.1 not only showed her craft with the ball but also broke all the records in women’s cricket. Ismail had an off day with the ball, where she conceded 46 runs in four overs.

Her record-breaking delivery came in the third over of the Delhi Capitals innings, and it was faced by Capitals skipper Meg Leaning. The delivery struck on the pads, but Meg Leaning was given not out by the umpire.

However, Shabnaim Ismail was not at all aware of her record-breaking pace; she said that she did not look at the screen while the delivery was being bowled.

Well, this is not the first time that Shabnaim Ismail has thwarted opposition with her pace. Ismail showcased her power with the ball when she bowled delivery at 128.3 km/hr; however, she was out for a few matches because of injury.

Speaking of the match after batting first, Delhi posted a mammoth total of 192 for four on the brink of 50s from Meg Leaning, and Jemimah, on the other hand, Mumbai finished with 162/8, with Amanjot Kaur being the top scorer with 42 of 27 deliveries.
