Rohit Sharma and company have become the first team to defeat England since the start of the Bazball era in the test format of the game.
The hosts defeated England by five wickets in the fourth test match of the series and are currently leading the series by a margin of 3-1.
After the match got over, Rohit Sharma was all praise for the youngsters like Jaiswal, Gill, and Jurel, who batted with responsibility to finish off the game for India when the seniors of the team were not playing.
After losing the opening match of the series in Hyderabad by a small margin of 28 runs, India made a remarkable comeback in the series, winning the second, third, and fourth tests on the trot and leading the series by 3-1.
Rohit was full of praise for the youngsters but also hit out at some of the players who are showing no interest in playing test cricket for the country.
In the press conference, Rohit Sharma said, “Dekho, jinko Test Cricket ki bhook nahi hain, wo dekh ke hi pata chal jata hain,” and Rohid said, “Un sabko khilane ka kya faida phir? .
Rohit Sharma also praised team India’s young wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel for his impressive innings of 90 runs in the first innings of the fourth test match, saying that the youngsters want to get the job done for the team.
Because when the players come here, they know what is expected of them and are very clear about what they want to do.
Team India will face England for the final test match of the series in Dharamshala starting on March 7.
