Umpiring Decision Helped Pakistan To Enter In The Semi-Finals Of T20 World Cup 2022

The controversial umpiring decision in ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is the talk of the town and the same continues in an all-important encounter between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

On Sunday, another important match of the T20 World Cup had been played between Pakistan and Bangladesh at Adelaide Oval, and in the 11th over of the game, a controversy took place over the umpire’s decision.

Earlier, the Bangladeshi skipper won the toss and decided to bat first. Bangladeshi player was scoring with full oscillation but the 11th over bowled by Pakistani vice captain Shadab Khan was the momentum-changing over. On the fourth ball of his over, he took the wicket of the in-form opener Shanto and on the very next delivery he dismissed skipper Shakib Al Hasan.

The dismissal of the Bangladeshi skipper was controversial because the on-field umpire gave him out whereas Shakib took the review and in the replay, it was clearly showed that the ball hit his bat first then on the pad but the third umpire considered the bat touched the ground and ball hit directly on the pad without any interruption that’s why some activity seen in the ultra-edge and third umpire stayed with the on-field decision.

After this decision, Shakib Al Hasan was seen as very disappointed and the whole cricket fraternity was criticizing the umpire’s controversial decision. The match between Pakistan and Bangladesh was very crucial for both the teams to get into the semis, and this type of decision turns the game into any side which is very disappointing in any ICC tournament.
