“Touched the Boundary line…”Navjot Singh Sidhu’s Surprising Take on Sanju Samson’s Dismissal Revealed

The match between the Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals has ended, but this match produced some of the most controversial moments of the IPL. It was the dismissal of Rajasthan’s skipper, Sanju Samson, who was caught on the boundary line by Shai Hope.

Sanju Samson, who was batting brilliantly in the match against the Delhi Capitals, played a straight shot on the delivery of Mukesh Kumar. Shai Hope, who was placed at long on, took the catch, but it looked like he was too close to the boundary line, and the umpire gave the decision in DC’s favor. This decision was not at all liked by Rajasthan’s dugout and the skipper.

Now former Indian opener Navjot Singh Sidhu has made a shocking verdict regarding the whole saga. He felt that the fielder had touched the rope not once or twice.

In his interaction with Star Sports, Navjot Singh Sidhu said, “The decision that changed the game was Sanju Samson’s dismissal. There could be differences of opinion, but if you look at the side-on angle, it touches the boundary twice. It was pretty clear. Either you don’t use technology, or if you’re using it and the technology is making a mistake, it’s like there’s a fly in milk, and someone asks you to drink it.”

Sidhu further stated, “It touched the boundary line twice. And after this, if someone says that it’s out, see, I’m a neutral person, so I’ve seen it; it’s not out. That’s why I also kept saying it about Kohli (on his dismissal against KKR, which triggered controversy over a potential no-ball). Whatever the rule, you can see it with the naked eye; some evidence is very strong not to believe. It’s like finding a trout in a glass of milk. The umpire didn’t do it on purpose; no one is at fault. It’s part of the game. That changed the game.”
