“Timing is everything….”Wasim Jaffer takes a massive dig at Micheal Vaughan on England’s past performance.

Jaffer’s banter with Vaughan that he had with the former England skipper has taken another twist again after the former replied to his post on X, formerly called Twitter, with yet another witty response.

Vaughan called for Test cricket to have two divisions and fairer distribution of riches among Test-playing countries on his post on X in which Jaffer responded.

In a hilarious comeback, Jaffer posted a picture of the World Test Championship 2024-25 table with England at the bottom as usual, displaying his memorable sense of humor on social media.

Jaffer wrote, “Timing is everything. And Michael is a wise man who understands that. That’s why he didn’t tweet this a month ago when the WTC table looked like this”.

The World Test Championship (WTC) points tally of England was severely affected by the test series, which took place in India earlier this year, from January to March. Rohit Sharma’s team defeated Ben Stokes’ side with a scoreline of 4-1.

After this loss, England’s next Test matches were at home where they managed to win both matches against West Indies and Sri Lanka.

England’s team is preparing for its final game against Sri Lanka at The Oval, London on September 6. Even though the home side does not have its best players in Ben Stokes (captain), Zak Crawley and Mark Wood because of their respective injuries, they would still be highly favored to win the match.

On the other hand India will take on Bangladesh in two-match Test series which will be held in Chennai and Kanpur respectively starting from September 19

Gautam Gambhir who’s the newly appointed head coach of the Indian squad and this is going to be his first test assignment ever. He will strive to recover from their white-ball tour where they lost to Sri Lanka in a shocking series. This series will serve as an arena for testing some players before heading into 2024 when border-gavaskar trophy event will be held in Australia which is set to begin in November
