This Star Joins the Indian Test Squad After 12 Years, Replaces Shami In Bangladesh Tests

After this ODI series, India and Bangladesh will face each other for a two-match test series, and for the same, the Indian domestic star Jaydev Unadkat has been called as the replacement for the injured Mohammad Shami. Currently, Unadkat is in his hometown Rajkot where he is waiting for his Visa clearance.

Mohammad Shami was ruled out of the ODI series due to a shoulder injury that he got prior to the first ODI against Bangladesh. Currently, the bowler is at National Cricket Academy, Bangalore. Earlier, there was a chance that Shami might get fit before the test but now he has been officially ruled out from the tour.

Talking about Unadkat, he is joining the Indian test squad after almost 12 years. Unadkat has played only one test for India on the tour of South Africa. In that match, he went for 101 runs without any wickets.

On this Bangladesh tour, the Bengal star Abhimanyu Easwaran has replaced Indian captain Rohit Sharma who has left for India with a thumb injury. On the other hand, Saurabh Kumar has been named as the replacement for Ravindra Jadeja.
