This Player Is Danger For Me In The Playing XI, Says Suryakumar Yadav

India made three changes to the starting XI for the third and final T20I of the three-match series against South Africa, inserting Shreyas Iyer, Umesh Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj in place of the rested KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and injured Arshdeep Singh. However, the addition of two fast bowlers didn’t help India because they were unable to contain the opposition, who scored 227 runs for the loss of three wickets thanks to Rilee Rossouw’s unbeaten 100 off 48 balls and Quinton de Kock’s 43-ball 68.
India made a horrible start, losing skipper Rohit Sharma (0) and Shreyas Iyer (1) inside the first 10 balls, and they were already one batter short. But on Tuesday (October 4), the Indian team management promoted Dinesh Karthik to bat at number four, which was a very unexpected move. The veteran right-handed wicketkeeper-batter took advantage of the situation by scoring 46 runs off just 21 balls. He hit four boundaries and as many sixes while he was on the crease.
Suryakumar Yadav, the Men in Blue’s standout middle-order batsman from India, who often bats at number four, was impressed by Karthik’s performance at the number four place in the third T20I and joked that Karthik’s quickfire 46-run knock may have jeopardized his position.
During the post-match presentation ceremony, he said, “DK needed some game time, and I think the way he batted, my number 4 spot is in trouble.”
In the first two games of the series, Surya was brilliant for India and scored back-to-back fifty, earning him the Player of the Series honor as well. Surya demonstrated why he is the top T20I batter in the world this year with a strike rate of 195.08 and an average of 59.50.
Surya, who made his India debut in March of last year against England, will now travel to Australia with the Indian side to compete in the forthcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, and he expressed excitement at the opportunity.
He concluded, “Haven’t thought about Australia just yet, but it’s a challenge I am looking forward to.”
