“This has not worked for them….”Ex Indian star Brutal take on RCB tactics

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, “Different year but same perennial woes.”. The red and blue army have gone on to lose four out of their first five matches. Apart from Virat Kohli, there has not been any significant contribution from the other batters, which has led to the team’s disastrous campaign so far.

Speaking about Royal Challengers Bangaluru, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra took to social media to say what went wrong for them.

Aakash wrote that letting go of Chahal and Hasranga and playing three overseas batters alongside Kohli has backfired on the franchise.

Chopra took his X account and wrote, “You let go of Chahal to buy Hasranga. And then let go of him to invest in the uncapped Indian spinners. It’s a fairly long journey to understand that #RCB’s bowling is a perennial weak link, but the attempt to resolve it is yet to be seen. As for the batting… Kohli plus three overseas batters is a strategy that hasn’t worked for nearly two decades. Most teams would’ve walked a different path, but not the RCB. #MidnightMusings,”

Royal Challengers Bangaluru will now be playing their next match against the Mumbai Indians on April 11 in Mumbai.
