Team India’s talented middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer is also the biggest contender to become India’s next Test vice-captain. Shreyas Iyer bats at number 6 in Tests for Team India, and his record in this format is also tremendous. If Shreyas Iyer is made India’s next Test vice-captain, then the team will benefit greatly.
Also, experts are suggesting the name Ravindra Jadeja and R. Ashwin. Ashwin’s performances in the longest format of cricket was exceptionally well. His magical deliveries and his consistency with bat make him a contender for this role. Meanwhile, Jadeja is also one of the top contenders for this role. His recent performance in the first two test matches was overwhelming with both bat and ball.
On the other hand, experts and former cricketers are also assuming that the Indian team combination will also choose Shubhman Gill to replace KL Rahul in the third test match. The third Test match of the series will be played from March 1 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.
