These 2 Players From India And Australia Will Decide The Fate Of The WTC Final At Oval, Saya Aaron Finch

Before the World Test Championship Final, former Australian opener and captain Aaron Finch has given a huge statement on India’s star batter Virat Kohli, and Australia’s Steve Smith. Finch stated that the primary goal for both India and Australia in the WTC final would be to dismiss Steve Smith and Virat Kohli early in the match. The much-anticipated Test match between the two top-ranked teams in Test cricket is set to commence on June 7 at The Oval in London.

The former Australian opener expressed that Australia would aim to dismiss Virat Kohli early in the game. Finch displayed confidence in the exceptional skills of Steve Smith highlighting his impressive track record. He also said that he will be looking for an exceptional clash between both teams.

“Both Kohli and Smith will be batting at number four, so the key is to try and get them as early as possible. Early wickets to expose them to the brand-new ball will be absolutely key. I will always side with Steve Smith, I think his record is outstanding, but it will be a very good contest,” Finch told Star Sports.

Talking about the intense rivalry between Australia and India, Aaron Finch recognized that it tends to bring out the best in both teams. He further mentioned that playing at a neutral venue adds an extra layer of interest in the game.

“Obviously, India has had the better of Australia in the last three series, I think, so both teams will rise to the occasion no matter where it’s played, at home or away or this time at neutral territory. It’s just a must-watch thing,” the 36-year-old added.
