Gujarat Titans all-rounder Vijay Shankar compared the style of captaincy of both Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill, saying that there isn’t much difference.
The Gujarat Titans were hammered by LSG in their last encounter by 33 runs. LSG have had a phenomenal start to their campaign, as they have won three out of the four matches they have played this season.
Speaking at the post-match conference, Shankar said that there isn’t much difference in the captaincy styles of both Hardik and Shubman.
Vijay Shankar said, “Absolutely no difference. The only difference is that if we’d won today’s game or the last game, things would have looked different. Otherwise, we batted well in the last matches and bowled well in this match. It’s just a collective thing; we can bring both things together in one game, and that’s when we’ll start winning. That’s what we missed in the last two games.”
He even went on to say that players need to put their hands up in order to bail the team out of tough situations.
Shankar said, “We won two of our first three games. Winning is very important for everyone, and we’re trying our best. Sometimes to cross the line, you need extra things, and I’m sure the way we’ve worked with the team management, we’ll do well as a team. It’s just about showing character and raising our hands in difficult situations. We’ve lost a few matches, but it’s not the end of the road for us. It’s a very long tournament.”
GT will now be up against the Rajasthan Royals on April 10 in Jaipur.
