“Their PM mocks us when we…”: Virender Sehwag Boldly Responds With Blunt Facts On Pakistan’s Exit From ODI World Cup 2023

Virender Sehwag has sharply trolled Pakistan after their exit from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 seemed inevitable. Sehwag’s response was triggered by India’s previous experience of ridicule after their elimination from the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 semi-finals. His ‘X’ post clarified his stance, hitting Pakistan back with a taste of their own medicine.

Sehwag’s earlier tweet, ‘Pakistan Zindabhaag,’ had gone viral, inviting criticism from Pakistani individuals and experts. Sehwag has now hit back, unleashing a reply that exposes some harsh truths and meticulously dismantles Pakistan’s approach.

Following India’s elimination in the ICC T20 World Cup semi-finals against England, numerous Pakistani experts mocked India’s defeat, leveraging a 10-wicket loss to England.

Sehwag seized the opportunity to respond resoundingly to the ‘noisy neighbors,’ emphasizing a stark statistical difference between India and Pakistan’s track records in ODI World Cups in the 21st century. India has qualified for the semi-finals in 5 out of 6 attempts, whereas Pakistan’s sole qualification was in 2011, wherein India eliminated them.

He stated, “In the 21st century, there have been 6 ODI world cups. In 6 attempts, only once in 2007 did we not qualify for the semi-finals, and have qualified in 5 of the last 6 World Cups. On the other hand, only once have Pakistan qualified for the semis in 6 attempts in 2011.”

Sehwag pointedly addressed Pakistan’s unfounded allegations against the BCCI and ICC, citing pitch and ball changes. He further took a dig at Pakistan’s Prime Minister, referencing previous taunts when India lost to England despite beating Pakistan.

“And they come up with ridiculous allegations blaming ICC and BCCI for changing balls and pitch. Their Prime Minister mocks us when we lose to another team despite having beaten them,” he added.

Recalling the incident when the PCB chief referred to India as ‘Dushman Mulk’ on camera, Sehwag concluded by stating that he prefers to reciprocate both love and hate with added interest, on and off the field.

Sehwag concluded, “Upon reaching here , their player posts pictures of enjoying tea in Hyderabad with sarcasm to mock our soldier. The PCB chief on camera refers to our country as Dushman Mulk. And they expect love for their hate. And those preaching class, that is a two way street. Jo Achha vyavhar kare uske saath hum bahut hi achhe, aur jo aisa vyavhar kare toh sahi mauke par soot samet lautana is my way. On field bhi, off-field bhi.”
