The Indian Premier League has given birth to many stars who are representing their nation today. Former South African batter AB de Villiers has now praised Yashasvi Jaiswal, the batter who has made it into the senior team with his sensational batting performance for Rajasthan Royals this year.
The former RCB star has noticed the batting technique of Jaiswal very closely and said that the left-handed batter has enough time to hammer the ball across the boundary line.
Jaiswal made his Test debut for India against West Indies in Dominica and scored a sensational 171 runs off 387 balls. This earned him the Man of the Match award.
While reviewing the batting of Yashasvi Jaiswal on his Youtube Channel, Ab de Villiers said,‘It’s not every day that a youngster comes out in a Test match in his very first game and scores a hundred. The very first time I watched him play in the IPL, I thought there was something really special. You can always look at the guy and how much time he has while facing the ball. He’s got time when he’s playing. The pace of the ball is not going to bother him. Even when he’s playing spin, it looks like he’s got time.”
He predicted a bright future for the Rajasthan Royals batter and said,”He just looks like he’s got time to make decisions while other players might seem rushed. He’s a very talented youngster and hot prospect for the future for India. I am very happy to watch him score a hundred in that first Test match.”
