The Record-Breaker: Mohammad Rizwan’s Record Equals Rohit Sharma’s Feat

One of the prominent figures in Pakistan’s batting line-up, Mohammad Rizwan, once again played a calculated innings of 53 against Canada, helping his side finally get off the mark in the T20 World Cup. Mohammad Rizwan’s innings included two fours and one six, which helped Pakistan win the contest in the 18th over.

Notably, this was the 30th occasion on which Rizwan scored half a century, which has helped Rizwan equal Rohit Sharma’s record of 30 half centuries in international cricket. Rizwan has aggregated 30 fifty-plus scores in 71 T20I innings, whereas Rohit Sharma has amassed the same number of fifty-plus scores in 118 innings.

These two are followed by Babar Azam and David Warner, who have 28 and 27 half centuries, respectively, in international cricket.

This is Pakistan’s first victory in three matches. They now have two points to their credit, and their net run rate (NRR) has also gone up drastically. Their net run rate is 0.191, which is less than that of the USA (0.626) and India (1.455).

Pakistan will play against Ireland on June 16 and will hope that they win this match by a big margin.
