IPL 2024 : The List Of Players That Are Going To Be Unavailable For IPL 2024

The upcoming IPL season is going to start in a week’s time. The opening encounter of the 17th season of the IPL is all set to take place in Chepauk between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings on March 22.

However, ahead of the upcoming season of the IPL, here’s the list of injured players that are going to miss the IPL.

Mark Wood: Mark Wood was one of the first players to withdraw his name from the IPL, citing workload management. His franchise, the Lucknow Super Giants, has signed Shemar Joseph as his replacement.

Mohammad Shami: Team India’s Sultan of Swing Bowling Mohammad Shami is also all set to miss the upcoming IPL season as he continues to recover from an injury that he suffered during the 2023 World Cup.

Jason Roy: England’s star opener, Jason Roy, who’s part of KKR in the upcoming IPL season, pulled out his name at the last moment, citing personal reasons. He is replaced by Phil Salt in KKR’s setup.

Gus Atkinson: Another England’s pace bowler Gus Atkinson has pulled his name out of the IPL due to workload management. He is replaced by Dushmanta Chameera in KKR.

Prasidh Krishna: Rajasthan Royals pace bowler Prasidh Krishna is all set to miss the IPL for the second consecutive year. Krishna is currently suffering from a quadriceps injury.

Ashwin’s Century: Rewriting Cricket History against England

Devon Conway: New Zealand and Chennai Super Kings opener Devon Conway is also currently ruled out of the IPL until the first week of May due to a thumb injury.

Harry Brook: Another England player Harry Brook has pulled his name out of the IPL due to personal reasons. 
Apart from these, Delhi capitals are still waiting for the injury status of Australian pace bowler Jhye Richardson, who missed BBL matches due to injury.
