The Fallout: MS Dhoni’s Ex-Business Partner Arrested after Complaint

Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s business partner, Mihir Diwakar, was arrested on the previous day for alleged fraud following a criminal case filed by Mahi himself.

Dhoni had earlier filed a complaint against Mihir Diwakar and Saumya Das at a district court in Ranchi. Diwakar, who’s the director of Aarka Sports Management Pvt. Ltd., has been arrested by Jaipur police for using Dhoni’s name in an unauthorized manner for setting up cricket academies.

It is noted that even after the termination of his contract with Dhoni Diwakar, he used his name to establish several cricket academies across India and around the world.

Aarka Sports was able to pay Ms. Dhoni’s franchise fee and share profit ratio as per the agreement, which was violated by Mihir Diwakar and Aarka Sports.

The former skipper said that the partners were setting up cricket academies without his permission and knowledge. Apart from that, a letter was given by the authorities to the partner from Dhoni’s side on August 15, 2021.

In spite of the revocation letter, the partners continued setting up academies using Dhoni’s name without sharing any amount with the former Indian skipper, thus violating the terms and conditions of the contract.

Dhoni had earlier filed a case under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the competent court at District Court Ranchi against 1. Aarka Sports Management Pvt Ltd. 2. Mihir Diwakar and 3. Soumya Das, Aarka Sports Management Pvt. Ltd
