Texas Super Kings Make A Big Move By Signing Former CSK Star Player For Major League Cricket

The Texas Super Kings have made a significant addition to their squad ahead of the inaugural Major League Cricket (MLC) by signing South African leg spinner Imran Tahir. The move comes as Ambati Rayudu won’t be able to feature in the tournament. The franchise, based in Texas, announced the signing through a special video on Twitter, warmly welcoming Tahir to their team with the caption, “Imran Tahir in yellow, again!”

Imran Tahir’s inclusion in the Texas Super Kings lineup brings the squad a wealth of experience and skill. The 44-year-old has previously played 27 matches for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he impressed with 35 wickets. Tahir was also part of CSK’s victorious IPL 2018 and 2021 campaigns.

Tahir’s expertise goes beyond his IPL performances. He has showcased his talent in T20 tournaments worldwide, including The Hundred, Pakistan Super League, Big Bash League, and Bangladesh Premier League. Throughout his remarkable T20 career, Tahir has taken 469 wickets in 378 matches, boasting an economy rate of 6.98. This impressive record includes 10 four-wicket hauls and three five-wicket hauls, highlighting his ability to be a match-winning bowler.
