Team India To Fly For England In Three Groups For WTC Finale, Here Are The Dates

India is planning to send its cricket team to England in three groups for the World Test Championship final against Australia. There is a possibility of a practice match to help the team adjust to the English playing conditions.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, the first batch of players could depart for England right after the conclusion of the Indian Premier League 2023. This group would consist of players whose teams do not qualify for the IPL playoffs. The first batch is likely to fly for England on May 23.

Players from teams that reach the IPL playoffs but do not reach the final will depart for England after the completion of the Qualifiers. They are likely to fly out on May 23 or 24. The final lot of players will depart on May 30, after the conclusion of IPL final 2023 which will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium on May 28th.

Looking at the current scenario of the team in the IPL, players such as Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, and Ravichandran Ashwin could be included in the first group of players departing for England on May 23.

Axar Delhi Capitals is already out from the race of playoffs. On the other hand, Shardul Thakur who plays for KKR has already his team out from the semifinal’s scenario.
