Team India made these unique records after their victory over arch rivals Pakistan

In the much awaited match between India and Pakistan in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in New York, Team India prevailed on Sunday, June 9, after successfully defending a modest target of 120 runs, the lowest for India in T20Is. Even though India’s first innings score of 120 was only the second highest in the venue’s five matches, the pitch at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York seemed to be slowing down as the tournament goes on. As a result, the pitch played a little better than it had in the previous games.

India defended a low total, which is the joint-lowest for any team in the T20 World Cup, thanks to some disciplined bowling spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah and an overly cautious attitude from the Pakistani team. India has now defeated Pakistan seven times in the main event, more than any other team has ever done against a single foe. Six times in the competition, Pakistan has defeated Bangladesh, while six times Sri Lanka has triumphed against the West Indies.

Additionally, after getting bowled out, India won a men’s T20I match for the first time. India appeared to be headed for a 140–150 total at 81/3 in 10 overs, but Pakistan responded with a powerful bowling attack to limit the opponents to 119. Although they would have liked to chase it down in the end, it was not to be.
