Tamim Iqbal starts walking, Check out his health update

Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh’s top opener and former captain, is recovering well after his heart attack during a domestic T20 match in Dhaka, according to doctors. He had a successful angiogram to fix a blockage in one of his heart arteries, and he’s even started walking again. The doctors have warned that the next 48 to 72 hours are really important for his recovery, and he needs to avoid all sports for now.

Tamim experienced a cardiac arrest while playing for Mohammedan Sporting Club in the Dhaka Premier League. He was quickly rushed to the hospital and got immediate care. The 36-year-old underwent an angioplasty and an angiogram to clear the blockage, and thankfully, he seems to be on the mend.

Tamim is doing better and has begun walking a bit, but the next few days are key. He’ll need at least three months before he can get back to sports, said Professor Abu Jafar from the Health Directorate, according to Cricbuzz. An echocardiogram done recently showed good signs, as noted by Professor Abdul Wadud from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases.

While Tamim’s condition is improving, we can’t ignore the chance of something changing suddenly. It’s important for him to take it easy and be monitored closely, Wadud explained. His heart function looks normal, but we need to be careful. There could still be irregular rhythms, so we advised him to avoid moving around too much.

Tamim’s family is planning the next steps for his treatment and getting back to normal life. He expressed his gratitude to all his supporters. Life can change in an instant, and we often forget how fragile it is. Before I started my activities yesterday, I had no idea what was about to happen. Some events remind us how short life is, and we should all support each other, Tamim wrote on Facebook. I’m truly thankful for all the love. Please keep me and my family in your prayers because, without your support, I’m just another person.
