T20 World Cup: ‘Team Should Not Bring Him Into The Playing XI’, Aakash Chopra Rude Remarks On Indian Superstar

The T20 World Cup is just a week ago and former Indian cricketer and now commentator Aakash Chopra has given a blunt statement over the debate about wicket-keeper choices for the T20 World Cup. Nearly everyone is looking towards Dinesh Karthik for the wicketkeeper duties in the marquee event and Aakash Chopra also feels the same.

The former batter has said that if team India brings Rishabh Pant into the playing XI at the last minute then it would be the biggest mistake of Indian Cricket management. Pant is already struggling for runs and he has made very few appearances for the team in some previous months. The management promoted Pant up the order in the practice game against western Australia but he did not live up to the expectations of the team.

Talking to his youtube channel, Aakash Chopra said, “What are they doing? Rishabh Pant has been tested at the top order, in the middle order, but you don’t know whether you want to play him or not.” He further added, “If you are thinking of bringing him back in as a last-minute change, then you are heading in the wrong direction. So, India should just stick with these six batters that they have tried out recently.”
