Pakistan Cricket Team doesn’t have a cracking start in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. However, the team did not lose momentum and now they are sitting comfortably in the final after beating New Zealand at Sydney Cricket Ground.
Now, Pakistan will either face India or England in the final of the T20 World Cup to be held at Melbourne Cricket Ground. Pakistan’s batting coach and former Australian legend Matthew Hayden recently attended a press conference after the victory against the Kiwis and named the team he wants Pakistan to face in the finale on Sunday.
Hayden said that it would be exciting if India beat England in the semifinal as there will be a super contest between India and Pakistan in the decider.
Talking to the broadcaster, the former Australian opener said, “I would like to face India. Just because of the pure spectacle of pretty much a third of the population all tuning in at the same time. That is fantastic. Can you just imagine, let’s cast our mind forward a couple of days, should India beat England, It will just be crazy chaos in Melbourne. But tonight was very special.”
Pakistan got a target of 153 runs in the 1st semi-final against New Zealand. Both the openers Mohammed Rizwan(57) and Babar Azam(53) smashed cracking fifties and took their team home in 19.2 overs.
